Former Center Township Small Claims Court Judge Barred From Serving As Judge Again

The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications released a statement today reporting an agreement it reached with former Center Township Small Claims Court Judge Michelle Scott under which Scott has agreed not to serve as a judge again. Scott abruptly resigned her judicial position on September 11 after Call 6's Kara Kenney reported on court resources being used to benefit a private marriage business operated by Scott and her husband. The Commission launched an investigation following Kenney's report. The Commission ended its investigation of Scott's marriage business under the terms of the agreement it reached with Scott.
